Humint

Privacy policy

Effective November 3, 2026. Applies to the Humint browser extension, the Humint desktop app for Windows (both called Survey Helper before version 3.0), and this website.

In short: everything Humint keeps stays on your computer. The app and the extension send us nothing, have no analytics and no ads, and we never sell or share your data. This website counts visits without cookies.

What Humint stores on your computer

Humint uses your browser's own storage (extension storage and IndexedDB). It stores:

Humint only learns answers on survey pages while a survey is being tracked, unless you turn on learning everywhere in Options. It never records pages with a password box, and never saves passwords.

What leaves your computer

The desktop app

The app keeps the same kinds of data as the extension (profile, saved answers, survey history, balances, GAIN.GG earnings history and settings) in its data folder on your computer, %APPDATA%\Survey Helper. Its built-in browser keeps your sign-ins to the sites you use, like any browser.

This website

This website counts visits and clicks on its download and community links with GoatCounter. It uses no cookies or other browser storage and keeps nothing that identifies you. It counts the page, the site you came from, your browser and system, language, screen width and country (worked out from your IP address, which isn't stored), as totals. To count a visit only once, it keeps a random id in memory for up to eight hours. We use the totals to see how many people find Humint and download it. Download links go to GitHub, and the Telegram link goes to Telegram, which have their own privacy policies.

The GAIN.GG invite link

If you make a new GAIN.GG account from Humint's setup, GAIN.GG opens through our invite link, and GAIN.GG sets a referral cookie in your browser. The setup tells you this before anything opens. GAIN.GG then pays us a referral bonus out of its own pocket. It never comes out of your earnings. Your GAIN.GG account is covered by GAIN.GG's own privacy policy. Humint isn't made by or affiliated with GAIN.GG.

Why it asks for the permissions it has

What we never do

Humint's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

Children

Humint isn't meant for children under 13. Survey and reward sites set their own minimum ages; follow theirs.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
